THE COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK STUDY PROGRAM

The Community Service/Work Study Program provides students with jobs at local non-profit Community Service Agencies. To determine eligibility for this program each student must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non- citizen and must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) showing an unmet need. The maximum amount a recipient may earn under this program is determined by the student’s FAFSA unmet need. This program is funded by the Federal Work Study Program. Students employed under this program are paid at least minimum wage and work an average of 20 hours per week (depending upon financial aid award and class schedule). The program funds are distributed through a paycheck on a bi-weekly payroll basis to the student.

Community Service Positions are posted via Jobs for Aggies, where the student can apply on-line. In order to locate these jobs a student can complete a search for (CSP) on the Jobs for Aggies website.
